The Tattered House is located in a 1920s bungalow in an unforgettable shade of turquoise. On a street lined with trees and brightly colored businesses, our business has quickly grown to become an Old Town destination. We pride ourselves on being honest and fair; casual and helpful; creative; and most importantly, we think our prices are quite friendly. We also pride ourselves on our quarterly events, whether its a flea market or a holiday open house where a treat will always be had by our many friends and family.
If you want to know about Erika and Sandy, we met selling at a Flea Market, right across from each other. We instantly knew there was a connection when we liked the same store, loved shopping the same hidden antique area on the coast (no one knows about), and have the same love of musty old boxes and rust. We have been selling near each other ever since and we have never been closer. We are so close, we are now mistaken as sisters and answer to the others name we might as well. We are both business grads and know what it feels like to be in suits. However, we are proud to have traded those suits for jeans and shirts with paint for our customers and our passion. We hope you appreciate our casual elegance when you visit ous shop.
If you only get a chance to meet one of us, Erika may be in her third generation ranch style home built in 1952. Erika has a passion for antique and vintage furniture, motorcycles, cars and houses. She has a creative eye and especially enjoys painting furniture for the shop. You might find Erika traveling for the shop (S.F., Bay Area and SoCal), to the ocean or the Florida Keys.
If Sandy is not there, she may be in Historic Roseville in the family bungalow which is just a mile from the shop. She may be schooling her children, or waiting for her husband to help her unload the car just one more time before he makes dinner or more cookies, cakes or sweet tea for another shop event (thanks Mark). When not fighting one of her three dachshunds off her lap, she loves catching up on her genealogy, painting another room in the house, or tinkering around with electricity or wiring projects (stuff she learned from her dad).
